The Schedule of Events


  Chapter meetings are held monthly from September to June in the Western Fairfax and Eastern Loudoun Counties of Virginia. Topics and locations vary with meetings at members' homes or luncheons or various public sites. Our guest speakers have included the directors and volunteers from the Shenandoah Valley Museum, The Red Feather Foundation, Balch Library, Oatlands and other historical, patriotic or genealogical resources.

   We have participated in the naturalization ceremony in Alexandria, a wreath laying at Mount Vernon and held joint meetings with the local SAR and C.A.R. chapters. We recognize our local high school students with DAR Good Citizens awards as well as many local adults for their work in preservation, conservation, and community service.

 In 2002 Cameron Parish Chapter placed a plaque marking Washington Dulles International Airport recognizing it's significance as land once owned by Francis Lightfoot Lee, signer of The Declaration of Independence. This plague as official hung at the airport in 2013. For information about future meetings or activities, please contact the chapter regent. Below is a list of currently scheduled activities.
